8 simple ideas for making a rose out of paper
Paper roses are a great way to escape from everyday problems. They can decorate gifts and cards, collect whole bouquets, hide candies or money in them. The only limitation is your own imagination! We offer 8 simple ways to make a beautiful rose out of paper!
1. Spiral rose
Nothing is simpler: cut a circle from a square piece of paper, cut it in a spiral like a snail, and twist it into a dense, elastic rose! Change the size and density of the sheet, depending on your goals. To make the rose even more elegant, make the edge of the spiral wavy under the petals.
2. Paper rose with sweets
To hide a little candy in a rose, cut the same petals of corrugated paper. Calculate the size so that there is a small tail underneath, which you will then drag with a thread. You can insert a skewer or wire for the stem into it. It is very convenient to form boats and bends from corrugated petals so that the rose is textured and the candy holds firmly in place.
3. Origami rose for beginners
For such a rose, be sure to take thick double-sided paper - and it will reveal in all its glory. Fold a square into a volumetric triangle - a standard workpiece for origami. Lift up the lower corners of the base and lower their tops again. Turn each of them into a small square and do the same from the back.
Put down the top of the small house that turned out after the previous steps. Take the rose by this fold, unfold the multilayer part and spread it into a square, as in the photo. Lift both triangles perpendicularly and gently twist the rose right behind them.
4. Rose from paper petals
Cut out from a dense sheet an octagon-base on which you will attach the petals. Cut more blanks, make each bend in the middle and wrap the edges with a toothpick. Glue them on the bases from the edges to the center, laying one petal on the other - it will take about eight pieces.
You can make the next layer a little smaller or stronger. To form the middle of the bud, glue two petals between each other and wrap one around the other. Then wrap them with the same blank cross to cross and put them in the middle of the flower.
5. A rose with a textured center
This rose is reminiscent of the previous one, but you should immediately cut the petals of three different sizes. In the same way, form a boat, twist the edges on a toothpick and glue the petals into a ring. In total, you will have three layers of six petals each. For the middle, take a long strip of the same paper, finely chop it with a fringe, twist it into a tube and glue it.
6. Volumetric rose from corrugated paper
Here for the petals, take the corrugated paper and shape each one of them, gently stretching them from the center. Collect the petals one by one on a wooden skewer until you get the density of the bud you need. Fasten the base with a green tape, wrap the entire stem and glue the leaves to match. Your beautiful rose is ready!
7. Multilayer paper rose
For another variation on the theme of a multilayer rose, you will need not separate petals, but whole layers at once. Cut out from red paper three or four flowers, gradually reducing their size. Twist the petals in different directions and assemble the entire structure on glue or a pin. It remains only to glue the flower into a substrate of leaves, which can also be done in two parts.
8. Origami rose from paper
Fold the paper square into a rhombus through the diagonals according to the standard scheme. Turn its lower left side up and take a good look. Such a rose is immediately collected from small segments, so carefully monitor each step in the picture.
Turn the rhombus over and in the same way unfold its second half upward with a triangle. After all the manipulations, you will get a specific L-shaped blank with the top up. Put this top down, as if you are laying out a rhombus again, but start twisting the petals.
Carefully wrap each next petal around the previous one and help yourself with a thin pencil or a toothpick. When you form a whole rose, carefully twist all its edges onto the same toothpick so that they are textured.
